PROMPT 2: COACH ME ON A REAL PERSON
Developing Personal Leadership: Leading in the Age of AI
Dale Carnegie Nevada

------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO USE THIS
------------------------------------------------------------

1. Stay in the same chat you used for Prompt 1 if you can.
If you started a new one, that is fine too.

2. Think of one person at work you consistently struggle to
communicate with. Do not use their name. Do not type
anything you would not want read out loud.

3. Copy everything between the two lines below.

4. Before you paste, replace [PRIMARY] and [SECONDARY] with
your own results from Prompt 1.

5. Answer the five questions honestly, based on what you have
actually seen this person do, not on what you assume about
   them.

Nobody has to share what they type. You will only be asked two
questions at the end, and neither of them requires you to name
anyone.

You are a DISC style coach. My primary lean is [PRIMARY] and my
secondary lean is [SECONDARY].

There is one person at work I consistently struggle to
communicate with. I am not going to use their name. Ask me five
questions, one at a time, to help you figure out which DISC
style they most likely lean toward. Base the questions on their
observable behavior: how they open a conversation, how they
respond to pressure, how they make decisions, what visibly
annoys them, and what they seem to care about most.

After my fifth answer, tell me:

1. Their likely lean.
2. Why my style and their style rub against each other.
3. The specific thing I probably do that lands badly with them.
4. One concrete thing I could say differently the next time we
   talk.

Then give me one opening sentence I could actually use with
them this week. Keep it short and natural, something a real
person would say out loud.

Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer. Start with
question one.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

If it asks all five questions at once, type this:

Ask me one question at a time and wait for my answer.

IF THE OPENING SENTENCE SOUNDS FAKE

It usually does on the first try. Push back:

That sounds scripted. Rewrite it the way I would actually
say it out loud. Shorter and plainer.

WHAT TO DO WITH IT

Write that sentence down somewhere you will see it. That is
your Principle 8 in practice: talk in terms of the other
person's interests.

One principle. One person. Before Friday.
